About me

 Hi! I'm Jerica.

There's a lot to me. That is, I have a lot of hobbies and I like to share about them on social media and well now primarily on this website.

For most of my life I've been an introvert into computers and the internet. This has really helped pay the bills but after I turned 30, some things changed and computers and software was not so fulfilling.

In 2010, I started taking Work Selfies and that would persist for 10+ years as a silly fun thing.

In 2011, I decided I needed new hobbies. I started volunteering by providing computer support to non-profits and video editing as well.

In 2012, I sort of fell into amateur modeling and that became a big thing I was excited about. I participated in various runway shows and designer photoshoots. I also started attending the Pacific Northwest Ballet as a season ticket donor.

2013 was a pivotal year because I walked in a 'costume' runway show for a designer who happened to be a cosplayer. I befriended her and commissioned her to make me my first costume: Black Widow from the movies. She in turn, introduced me to cosplay and comic conventions. She and I are still close today and you all know her as Abi Sue Cosplay (Abi Sue Costumes on YouTube).

In 2014, Abi taught me to sew and pattern facilitating me making my first costumes and in 2015, through internet searching and other designer friends, learned how to make latex costumes as well.

And cosplay pretty much held my world for a few years (and it still does). I went to several comic conventions a year and started making around 5 new costumes every year.

Meanwhile, I did get back into snowboarding after a decade or more of taking a break from it and tend to go a couple times a year. I'm probably somewhere along the lines of Beginner/Intermediate but I don't take a lot of risks.

In 2017, I heard about Adult Ballet Class. Before that, I'd never dreamed that as an adult you could learn to dance ballet. As soon as I heard about it, I knew I'd try it....and I did in 2018. 2021 is going to be 4 years since I started but unfortunately most of 2020, I took a break from it.

Later in 2018 and 2019, I would also learn to surf and take several lessons in Hawaii and Santa Cruz, CA. I really want to go back and take some more lessons again soon!

Also in 2019, I started volunteering for Cheer Seattle, an organization of adult volunteer cheerleaders raising funds for the LGBT Community.

Finally 2020 changed a lot for us as a society and I found myself once again playing video games on Switch and the computer. I began streaming on twitch as well and built a fun community of new friends. I also took to YouTube and finally did something more than vlogging.

Now in 2021, I have plans to continue with all of these things: cosplay, ballet, cheerleading, snowboarding, surfing, video games, and streaming!
