Had fun cheering on the runners at the March of Dimes last month! I hadn't hung out with Costumed Characters for Causes in a long time! It felt natural to grab some poms and cheer the runners on though, even as Supergirl, teehee. Oh yeah and I got to race the Flash. He won tho, GDIT flash!

Yes it's true! Another DatCom Charity Raid Train is coming your way in August! We'll once again be raising funds for the Trevor Project the weekend of August 20th! I'll be streaming for this during my regular Friday night time slot, probably playing Skyward Sword OR a special karaoke setup. We'll see!
Wow! What an awesome 24 hour fundraiser with our Glamorous Sailor Scouts of Love Stream team! Everybody did such a great job and we have all of you to thank for the donations and sharing and hanging out with us all day Sunday!
I had arbritraily set $5000 as the goal but we had tried to lower it to $2000 because I wasn't sure if that was too high thinking but look what all of you made happen! We went over $6000 for Stand up To Cancer!!!!

This week, I'm taking a bit of a break so I'll only be streaming two times. We'll see what happens going forward but I also need to start concentrating more on my upcoming novel and planning several events like my birthday.
Back to a somewhat normal schedule this week. Friday I'll be starting the new Zelda Skyward Sword and putting FF8 on hold for a while.
Also, Saturday night, later.....I'll be kicking off a 24 hour charity event with 11 other Sailor Scouts! It's going to be fun.

Wow what a crazy weekend. My iMac's hard drive decided to die on me Friday morning. Thankfully I have most of my data backed up via cloud backups but I may have somehow missed all of my video projects. I'm crossing my fingers as I wait for the HD backup to get mailed to me and my iMac is waiting fo ra new hard drive (I have to wait a week! argh!) .
Anyway, this week's schedule is still going as planned. And LATEX is making a comeback!

Once again I'll be part of a Charity RaidTrain on Twitch this weekend!
The DAT Community is hosting a weekend-long Charity raid train stream where each streamer streams for a time slot and then "raids" over to the next person in line!
My slot is 1pm PDT on Saturday and I'll be cosplaying as a 'casual' D.va from Overwatch (in a leg brace) fresh out of surgery! I think I might be doing a karaoke stream but we'll see what happens.
We are raising funds for The Trevor Project.
A decade ago or more, they were the ones that came up with the "It Gets Better" campaign for LGBT individuals to try to tell their stories to try to show the LGBT youth of America, life was worth living.
Continually over the years, The Trevor Project has provided suicide prevention trainings and services and much more.

Last week I talked about the coming weekend's charity stream that was put on by the DAT Community.
My three hour sesh was spent playing Stardew Valley with my boyfriend, something I did all weekend long even when I wasn't streaming.
For my stream I was Super Lyft girl and did both a runway walk and a cheer for Able Gamers!
I spent the rest of my time in other peoples' streams following the raid train throughout the full weekend. It was a great time all around.

And now for something completely different!
As I got into streaming, I made a lot of friends and became part of a small community of streamers, the DAT Community. Jen, one of the streamers, had an idea recently of having a Raid Train Charity stream for a good cause.
For those not familiar with Twitch, 'raiding' is when a streamer finishes their stream and sends the viewers to another streamer. It's a great way to meet new people and share viewership but in this context, it also allows us to setup a 51 hour charity stream!
So, starting at 1am EST on Saturday, February 27th, Dat Community will be kicking off our first ever DatCom community charity event. For the next 51 hours we will have a raid train going from community member to community member from the start time on Saturday, all the way until 4am EST on Monday.
My time slot will be 1pm EST (10am PST) on Saturday! I'll be playing a game and dressing as Super Lyft Girl!
