For my CHEER Seattle PRIDE 2022 Fundraiser, I let donors vote on the topic of my next music video parody. "My Favorite Toys" was randomly suggested and it won.

My first CHEER Seattle Pride Parade!

 We did it yall! I'm so hyped that after 3 years on the team through the pandemic I was able to march and dance and stunt in the pride parade with my beloved team!

Our 2nd PRIDE event!

First Seattle PRIDE Event!

 We had our first CHEER Seattle Pride event last Saturday where we got to perform and we had a booth and took pics and raised funds. It was great fun!

Palm Springs Vacay

 Well my trip to Palm Springs was very refreshing. We started the trip off celebrating Palm Springs Pride as CHEER Seattle with CHEER Tacoma, CHEER LA, CHEER SF, and CHEER New York! 

Then a couple girlfriends stuck around for a week and we relaxed by the pool, had jacuzzi time, went horse back riding, and got our nails done. I was also working on my novel the whole time too with a 2k words/day goal; and I made it happen. I also kept up with my workout and nutrition program and managed to mostly maintain and not gain a whole lot of weight haha.

The last week of the trip was more of me relaxing and also live streaming. Yes, I brought my streaming gear haha. But I also kept the 2k words/day up until I left. 

Over all, it was a great trip and I definitely want to go back in the winter again. I came home to 45 degree weather and dreary in Seattle haha.

This week's schedule and an update

 Wow what a crazy weekend. My iMac's hard drive decided to die on me Friday morning. Thankfully I have most of my data backed up via cloud backups but I may have somehow missed all of my video projects. I'm crossing my fingers as I wait for the HD backup to get mailed to me and my iMac is waiting fo ra new hard drive (I have to wait a week! argh!) . 

Anyway, this week's schedule is still going as planned. And LATEX is making a comeback!

Raising funds for CHEER Seattle: Happy Pride Month!

 Happy PRIDE Month everyone! 

Last year around this time, we were stuck inside and I got creative by creating videos where my CHEER self would explain CHEER Seattle and GenPride to a cosplay character. I raised funds on Facebook and it was a lot of fun. 

This year, I've become a live streamer and I will be raising funds for CHEER Seattle all month long in all of my streams: https://streamlabscharity.com/@jerikandra/jerikandras-cheer-seattle-pride-fundraiser 

CHEER Seattle is a volunteer-led adult cheer team that not only provides a safe and athletic environment for adults to practice and cheer but by doing so, we raise funds for local organizations in our community, usually LGBT related. 

Our beneficiary this year is GenPride, an organization that puts on programs (and soon a retirement center) for LGBT seniors. 

How do we do what we do? Well we meet and practice regularly all season long and we get 'hired' to cheer and perform for running events, sports events, auction events, etc. By doing so, we raise funds for the community. 

So excited to be raising donations for CHEER Seattle this year AND I'm pledging that all of my funds from bits and subscriptions on twitch this month will also get donated!
